Installing Garmin Mobile XT on Nokia 5800 Xpress Music
1. Download GMXT for Symbian.

2. Install GMXT, but do not launch it yet.
3. Install Virtual Key (Install it to the memory card. DO NOT install to phone memory.)
(Note: While installing "Virtual Key" if you get certificate error, it means you need to signup the app before you install it, to get your own certificate follow the link bellow.)

4. Launch Virtual Key from your Applications folder. Then, exit it by choosing “Options” - “Exit”. This will create the necessary configuration directory for Virtual Key on your memory card.
You will see the screen below.
Press “Options” - “Add”.
5. You will now see this screen below
With “Original key:” highlighted as above, press the green physical button on your phone, ie. the “Make call” key. The highlight will now move automatically to the next field “Mapped key:”. Press “Options” - “Special key” - “Left soft key”. Then press “Done” at the bottom right of the screen to exit this screen.
6. You will now see this screen
Now, press “Options” - “Add” and you will see a screen similar to the one in step 5 above. With “Original key:” highlighted, tap “Options” - “Special key” - “No”. The highlight should now move automatically to “Mapped key:”. Tap “Options” - “Special key:” - “Right soft key”. Then press “Done” at the bottom right of the screen to exit this screen.
7. You will now see this screen, with the two items you configured.
At the top of the screen, tap the right white arrow next to the “Settings” tab. The tab’s name will now change to “Exclude”. Tap “Options” - “Change mode” - “Include”, and you will notice the tab’s name changing to “Include” instead of the “Exclude” earlier! Magic, I tell you!
8. Now, tap “Options” - “Add from installed” and scroll around until you see “GMobile XT“. Not surprisingly, this is the GMXT program. Highlight it, and press “Select” as in the screenshot below.
Now, tap “Cancel” at the bottom of the screen to exit this screen. You will see that the name “GMobile XT” has now appeared in the “Include” tab. More magic!
Now, tap the left white arrow next to the “Include” tab, to go back to the “Settings” tab.
9. On this screen, tap “Options” - “Save as” - “Custom mode 1″ to save all our settings. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be magical when you close the programs and lose the settings, the next time you open the program and not find any settings!
Now, tap “Options”.
10. You will now see this screen. Tap ”Load mode” - “Custom mode 1″.
There are no confirmations messages while you do steps 9 and 10 so don’t worry.
11. Now, tap “Options” - “Run in background” as in the screen below.
The entire Virtual Key screen will now disappear into the background.
12. Now, launch GMXT to proceed with language selection and complete the GMXT setup. So, to recap, the green hardware button (ie. make call button) now acts as the “Yes” or to open menus. The red hardware button (ie. end call button) now acts as the “No” button or “Back” button. Get it? Good!
13. In GMXT, find out your card ID in the “Settings” - “About” screen after you tap the spanner/wrench icon, to create software unlock file (UNL file). Quit GMXT. Place this unlock file in the “Garmin folder”, and restart GMXT and you will be able to select “Use Attached/Built in GPS” when you tap the spanner/wrench icon and go into the “Settings” - “System” - “Remote GPS” menu.
Remember, the Virtual Key program must run in the background while you use GMXT. If it is closed, it cannot send the emulated hardware key presses to GMXT. Once you’re done with GMXT, you can close/exit the Virtual Key program as well, it is no longer needed and just takes up precious memory.
